Share in the discoveries made during the play's Sydney Premiere season.
This course includes a free viewing of archival footage excerpts from the 2016 production and a detailed student handout.
In the session, students will be involved in viewing the archival footage of the production accompanied by a scene by scene discussion with Producer/ Actor Anne Wilson. Students will gain a deeper dramaturgical understanding of the text through guided questions relating their observations to the elements of drama. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on a range of directorial approaches available to them in their own theatre making as well as those made by Cathy Hunt in the 2016 production. The style, structure and conventions of the play will be addressed within the theoretical framework of the HSC Essay.
'Anne, that was absolutely invaluable. The students have never had an experience like that and of course with COVID it has been a shame that they haven't been able to see live productions together. But that was just so incredibly informative and engaging. Again, thank you so much!'
